NOSE SURGERY

The ideal nose varies from face to face depending on skin type, ethnic background, age, and other variables. During your initial cosmetic consultation, Dr. Propis will discuss your concerns about your nose, your expectations, and explain the probable outcome of your procedure.

What about insurance?
Breathing problems are common, even in younger people. Correcting problems that interfere with your breathing may be covered by your health insurance. However, when rhinoplasty is performed for cosmetic reasons, it is not covered by your health insurance. We will be happy to answer any questions you have regarding insurance coverage.

PROCEDURE

Dr. Propis prefers making his incisions inside the nose, where they are invisible. The skin and tissues of the nose along with the underlying bone and cartilage are sculpted by Dr. Propis to your desired new shape.
Skin can be removed from both sides of the nostrils, to narrow the base of the nose.

Sometimes the profile of your nose can be improved by adding different kinds of permanent grafts. Following your surgery, only thin aluminum splint will be on your nose. No nasal packing has been used for over a decade due to new medications and technique.
