BLEPHAROPLASTY: (EYELID SURGERY)
This surgery is to remove saggy, drooping upper eyelids and puffiness under the eyes that give a sad, tired look. Performed under local/ or IV sedation, the procedure takes 1-2 hours. Incisions are hidden in the upper eyelid crease, and inside the lower eyelid. No sutures are needed for the lower eyelid, and by using a special laser to ‘cut’ instead of a scalpel, makes for less bruising and trauma providing optimal results! Recovery is 4 days to 1 week.
OTOPLASTY:
Purpose:to minimize projection of ears, protruding from head. Reduce size.
This ear surgery is done under IV sedation/General anesthesia. Taking approximately 1 to 2 hours, skin and cartilage are removed from behind the ear, then sutures stay in place for one week. Scarring is minimal and hidden behind the ears. Patients return to school/work within a week
FACELIFT/’S’-LIFT: (RHYTIDECTOMY)
Depending on the wishes of the patient, a face/necklift can be extensive (taking 2-3 hours to perform) or as little as 1-2 hours for just a lower face/necklift. (also known as a Modified Lifestyle Lift) Both procedures are designed to ‘lift’ and tighten the skin and muscles which have begun to sag around the face and neck. Done under local/general anesthesia, this surgery gives patients a more youthful look! Usually patients return to work within a week. During recovery patients may have a little swelling or bruising, which dissipates daily. Being a professional sculptor, Dr. Propis focuses on a ‘natural’ look, never ‘overdone’.
TRACHEAL SHAVE: (ADAM’S APPLE REDUCTION)
This surgery is for patients with noticeable, protruding ‘adam’ s apples’. Dr. Propis spent many years as a head/neck surgeon before launching his current cosmetic surgery practice. In doing so, he developed a technique to reduce the size of this area, leaving a tiny inch long scar, hidden in a fold of the neck. Done under general anesthesia and taking only 30-60 minutes, patients return to work in a few days.
